Our Commitment to Our Communities

We’re passionate about building the best for YOU and our communities. One way we keep progressing is through our firm passions and initiatives. While excellence is a daily habit here, we know there’s always a brighter future we can achieve ahead, together.

Community Outreach Team

We serve the communities where YOU live and work, through various community engagement and volunteer efforts. This team plans several community focused projects throughout the year, including holiday food and clothing drives, timely disaster relief efforts, and a firm-wide day of service for all team members.

Women's Initiative

The Women’s Initiative mission is to promote a firm culture that provides women with support, mentorship, and training in order to fully develop their potential as leaders. The initiative hosts regular networking breakfast meetings along with other events. The Women’s Initiative works behind the scenes addressing cultural barriers that affect women in the professional services industry and developing initiatives and policies to help women overcome these barriers.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiative

The Diversity and Inclusion Initiative promotes the retention and advancement of underrepresented groups within Dean Dorton by creating practices that enhance an inclusive work environment. Since its inception, the initiative has worked to create a business case for D&I efforts, conducted a firm-wide survey, became a sponsor of the AICPA George Willie Scholarship program and accepted an intern candidate through that program, and signed the CEO Action Agreement, committing our leadership and firm to working towards a leading culture of equity in the workplace.
